Ongoing Drawings: Time-Space Diagrams began in 2015. It is an ongoing body of work that consists of unedited, done in one sitting large charcoal drawings, created between Philadelphia, in the US, and Bitola, in Macedonia. They depict enclosed and framed structures (sometimes populated), as well as mirrors, stoops, ladders, and flags. They reference the human body and architectural details that populate my experience of both places, transformed by political and emotional detail. The drawings reference spatial/ political negotiation and are a non-narrative, spontaneous response to specific moments.
